Subject 3. Climate Change History, Measurement & Causes
This group of five Lessons is mainly about climate cycles and how they and not CO2 are ultimately responsible for the fluctuations in our climate that had us panic-stricken in the 1970's because of global cooling and now has us panic-stricken because of global warming. I'm afraid we never learn!
Lesson 12. Topics:
Climate Change History and Measurement, Climate Cycles, 2000 Year History, Warming Trend since the Little Ice Age, Measurement Problems, Deficiencies of Climate Change Models, Ending the Climate of Endangerment, Why Climate Models get it so Wrong, Unreliability of Past Measurements, Measuring Stations Problems, Audit of UK Weather, Dataset Revisions of Past Records by BOM Australia, Urban Heat Island Effect on Temperature and Rainfall, Land, Ocean & Satellite Results, Inconsistency with Sea-Level Rises, Missing Troposphere (Tropical) Hotspot, The Water Vapour Cycle, The Hotspot Theory, So Where's the Hotspot?, Is the Water Vapour Feedback Positive or Negative?
Summary
All of this Lesson is full of very important concepts and data. The standout is the missing hotspot section. This is the Achilles heel of the IPCC's claim to relevance. If it continues to be missing their whole house of cards should (logically) collapse). Unfortunately it won't because too many people have too much invested in it.
